Lawrence Gibbs eats at the same restaurant as you. Or, if not that restaurant, a restaurant that somebody has eaten at. Like me, he lives near a place you've been to, or at least heard of. On clear nights he looks up at the stars and thinks about being somebody or somewhere else. Sometimes he feels like his life is plagued by devils, and sometimes he feels like only eight interesting things have happened to him in his whole life. In his darkest moments, he even feels like anybody observing his miserable life might think the whole thing was pretty damn funny. So, for your consideration, this is the story of one man out of six billion, but it could just as easily have been about any one of us. Consider yourself lucky.
"6 Billion Degrees of Separation (or, Eight Short Sketches About an Ordinary Man)" is a short film that also serves the purpose of being an extended pilot to a hopeful sketch comedy series.
